JAMMU, Dec 6: KV No. 1 Akhnoor celebrated Annual Sports Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.
On the occasion, Colonel Bikramjit Singh, Commanding Officer, 510 ASC Battalion was the chief guest, while Damneet Kour, was the guest of honour.
Principal of the school S Karan presented the welcome address and also highlighted the achievements of the students in curricular and co-curricular activities.
Tiny tots presented a colorful welcome song, followed by various sports events among four houses of the school.
In his address, Colonel Bikramjit Singh stressed on the students to participate in sports activities to keep their body mentally and physically fit. He announced cash award of Rs 15,000 for the school.
Later, Colonel Bikramjit Singh along with Damneet Kour and Principal of the school presented prizes among the winners.
At the end, SP Sharma, senior teacher of the Vidyalaya presented vote of thanks.
