JAMMU, May 1: KV Miran Sahib celebrated its annual day function 2015 at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium of University of Jammu, here today.
Rajesh Gurang, DIG BSF SHQ I-Nagar and chairman VMC was the chief guest, Principals of neighboring KVs, members of sponsoring agency, faculty members, students and parents were present on the occasion.
Principal of Vidyalaya, Raj Kumar welcomed the chief guest and presented the annual report of the school highlighting the achievements of students in various academic and co-curricular activities.
The chief guest inaugurated the function by lighting the traditional lamp, students presented a colorful cultural programme including Saraswati Vandana, welcome song, welcome dance, Dogri folk song/dance, animal dance, hindi skit action song, kathak, gawali and Punjabi folk.
Mr Gurang in his speech disclosed that he was also the student of KV.
Sarita Charak delivered the vote of thanks, while Dr Suganda Pandey, co-ordinated the function.
The programme came to an end with grand finale Chak De India showing the power of unity which was followed by national anthem.
