JAMMU, Nov 9: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bantalab celebrated Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and gaiety.
On the occasion, DS Bist, DC-GC-CRPF Bantalab, was the chief guest, while, Chaman Lal, AC MTO-GC-CRPF Bantalab, was the guest of honour.
V Santhosh Kumar, Principal of the school, presented the welcome address and highlighted the achievements of the students in various curriculum and co-curriculum, activities.
The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by the chief guest and other dignitaries, followed by march past by different houses as well as Scouts and Guides of Vidyalaya.
The meet was declared open by chief guest by releasing the balloons and oath ceremony by the school sports captain.
Different sporting activities like Jalebi race, Spoon race, Sac race, Three Leg race, Relay race, etc, were organised, followed by cultural programme including different dances and songs.
The prizes were distributed among the winners of the national level participants and winners of today’s meet by DS Bist.
Speaking on the occasion, DS Bist, congratulated the students and staff for presenting such a beautiful show. He also highlighted the importance of the sports in person’s life and their role being played as a superb media to promote cultural awareness among the students.
At the end, Romi Amrit, Vice Principal of the school, presented vote of thanks.
