KV No. 2 Jammu Cantt organizes Regional Sports Meet

JAMMU, Aug 19: Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2, Jammu Cantt organized Regional Sports Meet.
On the occasion, AVLJ Rao, Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu region was the chief guest, who declared the meet open along with Colonel Kamal N Padha, VMC Chairman (Nominee) was the guest of honour. VMC members of the Vidyalaya were also present.
The venue principal M Laxmi Naraynan, presented the welcome address.
A total of 17 teams from Jammu region are participating in the meet. KV No 2 is the venue for cricket and lawn tennis matches. 14 teams are for cricket (under 19 boys) and 3 for lawn tennis (under 17 and 19 Boys).
The highlight of this sports meet is that apart from the winner team the best players from all the teams will be selected to constitute a team to represent Jammu region at the national level competition to be held in Delhi.
In cricket, KV No 2 Jammu Cantt defeated KV No 1 Akhnoor and emerged winner.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks by Incharge Sports Archana Sharma, PGT, PHE.
