SRINAGAR, Nov 27: Kashmir University Officers Association (KUOA) celebrated its second Annual Day during which a seminar titled “Administrative accountability in academic institutions” was held.
In his presidential remarks Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir Prof Talat Ahmad said that all stakeholders of the University have to play a participatory role and contribute towards strengthening of the institution so to get it recognized at national and international level.
Prof Talat said that a policy or scheme, which aims to strengthen the overall administrative and academic culture of the institution, will be adapted after deliberating on all its pros and cons.
In his keynote address Dean Academic Affairs Prof AM Shah said that the key to successful administration in today`s competitive world lies in bringing innovation in the routine nature of work and sharing of knowledge.
Registrar University of Kashmir Prof Zaffar Ahmed Reishi, Controller Examinations, were guest of honour on the occasion.
Prof G M Sangmi, President Kashmir University Teachers Association (KUTA), Ghulam Jeelani, President Kashmir University Ministerial Staff Association (KUMSA), secretary KUTA Dr Irshad Zia, Deputy Registrar KU Dr Mohd Yousuf, Assistant Registrar Accounts, Mubarik Ahmad also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Dr M Shafi Sumbli, President of KUOA and Director Convocation complex presented welcome address, whereas, Executive member, Assistant Dean Students Welfare Showkat Shafi presented vote of thanks.
