Kodewala Kings emerges winners of Friendship Cup

JAMMU, May 11: Kodewala Kings defeated Naiwala Cricket Club by four wickets and won the final match of the Friendship Cup, organized at Kodewala Ground Akhnoor, near here today.
Naiwala Cricket Club won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first, Naiwala CC scored 102 runs by losing all wickets in 12 overs, wherein Vishal scored 20 runs, while Sunny and Akshay contributed 26 & 11 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Sanjay got three wickets, while Tushar secured four wickets.
In reply, Kodewala Kings easily chased the set target by losing 6 wickets in 10.1 overs. Ajay made unbeaten 30 runs, while Sanjay and Dharminder contributed 28 and 17 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Johnny got two wickets, while Nikhil scalped 2 wickets.
Sanjay Kumar was announced as man of the match, while man of the series award went to Sahil Sharma and Sikander Kumar acted as umpire, besides, Anish was the scorer.
Sham Singh Langeh (Zonal Head All India Divyang Cricket Control Board of India) was the chief guest. He distributed prizes among the players and praised the organizing committee for the tournament. He also advised the players to stay away from drugs.
The tournament was organized by Kodewala Cricket Club under the overall supervision of Dharminder Sharma.
