Kodewala Kings beats Stars XI by 59 runs

JAMMU, Apr 21: Kodewala Kings CC trounced Stars XI CC by 59 runs in 2nd Ganesh Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament and lifted the title trophy, played at Kodewala Ground, here today.
Stars-XI won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Batting first, Kodewala Kings scored 99 runs on the loss of seven wickets in stipulated 12 overs match wherein Ajay made highest 38 runs for his team. From bowling side, Subhan claimed four wickets.
In reply, Stars XI CC bundled out at 40 runs in which Vikas was the only player who made double digit runs. From bowling side, Sanju clinched three wickets, whereas Ajay and Devinder got two wickets each.
Ajay was declared as man of the match, whereas Sahil Sharma of Stars XI clinched man of tournament award. Sunil and Vicky were umpires of the match and Sourav Sharma acted as scorer.
Bhushan Bral, DDC Chairman was the chief guest on the occasion, while Thakur Sham Singh Langeh (Gen Secretary JKCA District Jammu) was guest of honour and Parveen Sharma DDC Chairman along with Anuradha Sharma were the special guests.
The tournament was organised by Vaishno Devi, mother of late Ganesh Sharma under the supervision of Dharminder Sharma, organizing secretary.
Winning team was awarded with trophy and cash prize of Rs 2500 while runner up team got Rs1500 .
