JAMMU, May 3: The first-ever Kids Athletics Carnival organized by the Sikh Games Federation of J&K concluded today with enthusiastic participation from around 600 young athletes. The event was held in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.
Sharat Chander graced the occasion as chief guest, while Deputy Director (Prosecution) Harwinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh of the Global Sikh Federation and former international hockey player Satinder Singh attended as guests of honour. DySP (Retd) Surjit Choudhary was the special guest on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Amardeep Singh, President of the Sikh Games Federation of J&K, encouraged participants to take up athletics and highlighted the importance of sports in overall development. General Secretary Satpal Singh also briefed the young athletes about the benefits of athletics and maintaining an active lifestyle. Harsimran Singh served as the chief technical official, ensuring smooth conduct of the competitions.
