JAMMU, Dec 29: Kickboxing Junior and Cadet team of Jammu and Kashmir excelled in the WAKO India Cadets and Junior National Kickboxing Championship by winning 2 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals, organized at Pune Maharashtra from December 21 to 26.
On arriving here, the team was accorded a warm welcome by general secretary of the Association, Abhishek Jain. The team was escorted by Fasil Ali and Irfan Choudhary as team coaches.
Ajay Verma, MD Nice Gem and Sanjeev Jamwal, joint secretary were present during the event and they congratulated the medal winners.
The gold medals were secured by Abhimanou Sharma in -57 kg and Rahul Bagal in -69 kg, whereas Rajbir Singh, Mehak Jamwal and Manik Kumar won silver medals in -54 kg, +65 kg and -45 kg categories respectively and Danish Sharma, Nitish Singh, Fiza Farooq, Agriya Sharma, Syed Ali Shah, Mohd Mohtstashim Wani, Owais Bilal Wani and Rajbir Singh clinched bronze medals in different categories.
