Khour Cricket Club outplays Singh CC by 32 runs to lift Title

JAMMU, July 7: Khour Cricket Club defeated Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor by 32 runs in the summit clash to lift the title trophy of the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Batting first, Khour Cricket Club scored a decent total of 198 runs in the stipulated 25 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Kavi Raj top scored with 78 runs off 58 balls, studded with 8 fours and one six, while Rahul Sharma and Surinder contributed 47 and 44 runs to the total respectively. From Singh Cricket Club Sham Singh Langeh and Sunny claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Singh CC Akhnoor managed to score 166 runs in 23 overs, thus lost the match by 32 runs. Sunny, Sunil Sharma and Jadvinder contributed 32, 29 and 26 runs to the total respectively. From Khour Cricket Club, Panku was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Billa and Surinder bagged 2 wickets each.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Ashok Singh as umpires, while Rahul was the scorer.
