Khalsa Warriors lifts District Hockey senior title

JAMMU, Mar 17: Khalsa Warriors defeated Dashmesh Hockey Club Nanak Nagar by 5 goals to 2 in the finals of the Jammu District Senior Hockey tournament and lifted the title trophy in men category at Astroturf Stadium, here today.
The tournament was organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K Sports Council, wherein Ranjeet Kalra-Member J&K Sports Council and Member Governing Council (Sports) Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board was the chief guest, while Dr Anitipal Singh (Orthopedician) and Manjeet Singh were guests of honour.
The Hockey J&K expressed gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha (President Sports Council) for providing extraordinary infrastructure for promotion of the Hockey in the Union Territory.
The office bearers of the Association including Rajinder Singh, GS Bakshi, Ishan Sharma, Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi, Tajinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh as well as Gurjit Singh (International Hockey Player), Hardeep Singh and JP Singh were present during the event.
The match was officiated by Gurjit Singh, Ishtiaq Hussain, Jagjit Singh, Balmeet Singh and D. Singh.
