KATHUA, Dec 22: KG Clouts Delhi and Sabi Cricket Club Hoshiarpur registered victories over their rivals in the ongoing 6th Police Martyrs Memorial North Zone Inter Club T20 Cricket Championship, played at Sports Stadium, here today.
The first match of the day was played between KG Clouts Delhi and Maharana Partap Kurukshetra, wherein KG Clouts Delhi won the toss and chose to bat first to set a target of 151 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. Abhishik Gowsami scored 44 runs, with 5 boundries and 2 sixes. Ricky and Ravi of Maharana Partap Kurukshetra took 2 wickets each.
Maharana Partap Kurukshetra could not chase the target and scored only 79 runs by losing all their wickets in 15.2 overs. Abhishek Gowsami was declared as man of the match with a cash prize of Rs 1500 and a trophy.
In another match, Sabi XI Cricket Club Hoshiarpur won the toss and elected to bat first. They set a target of 129 runs in 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Gopal who scored 31 runs in 30 balls was the top scorer. Sachin and Ravi of Ajeet Memorial Cricket Club took 3 wickets each. Ajeet Memorial Cricket Club Gurwan colud not chase the target and scored only 122 runs in 19.1 overs by losing all their wickets. Ramneek of Sabi XI Cricket Club Hoshiarpur who took 4 wickets by conceding only 8 runs and also bowled 2 maiden overs to be declared as man of the match. He was presented a cash prize of Rs 1500 and a trophy.
