JAMMU, Nov 8: Scripting a convincing win over Delhi Public School (DPS) in the semifinals, KC Public School entered into the finals of the cricket tournament as part of Sportathon 2016, being organized by KC Sports Club, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, KC Public School scored 28 runs in 9.3 overs. Tazeem and Prabal contributed 9 and 7 runs to the total respectively. For DPS, Hasnain took 3 wickets, while Musaif claimed two.
In reply, DPS was bundled out for 20 runs in 8.4 overs, thus lost the match by 8 runs. For KCPS, Praful Dhar and Sampark Gupta took 2 wickets each.
Meanwhile, in skating boys and girls, KCPS bagged first place by claiming 15 medals, with 8 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals, while KC International School emerged runners-up by bagging 10 medals with 3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals.
