JAMMU, June 11: Scripting a thrilling victory by just 2 runs over strong Simula Cricket Club, the star-studded Kishen Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) lifted the title trophy of the Simula T20 Super League at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
The League was organized by Simula Global Group of Companies and Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association and the organizing committee was headed by Hilal Rather, MD Simula Group, while the members included Desh Rattan Dubey, Joint Secretary JKCA; Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA, Anshuman Sharma, Mohit Puri, Atul, Vivek Thapa, Vikram Singh, Shashi, Beant Singh and Vishal. Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy Player was the Coordinator.
In the valediction function, Dr Vinod Kumar, SP City was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Ramesh Mahajan, Ranjeet Kalra, Desh Rattan, Ankush Abrol were the guests of honour.
The Chief Guest, Dr Vinod Kumar, SP City and Ranjeet Kalra addressed the gathering and lavished praise for the Simula Sports Club and JKCA for organizing this cricketing extravaganza.
Later on, Hilal Rather thanked JKCA extended thanks to JKCA and other sponsoring agencies for their support.
Earlier, in the final, batting first, KCCC scored 168 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Jatin Wadhawan scored magnificent 82 runs, while Bandeep Singh made 23 runs. Ankush Bandral  contributed 18 runs in last three balls, clobbering 3 massive sixes.
From Simula, Ritik took 3 wickets, while Raman Dutta, Manzoor Dar and Hardeep Singh  shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Simula Cricket Club made 166 in 19.5 overs, thus loss the match by 2 runs. Puneet was the contributed power-packed 39 runs, while Mohit, Manzoor and Satish contributed 22, 20 and 18 runs to the total respectively.
From KCCC, skipper Manik Gupta was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 wickets, while Ramdayal and Ankush took 2 wickets each. Ajay also claimed 1 wicket. Jatin was declared as the man of match. Raman Dutta and Shashi were adjudged as the best bowler and best batsman, while Hardeep Singh was declared as the man of the series. Ritik was adjudged as best fielder and most disciplined player of the league. Ankush Abrol, Working Committee Member JKCA and former Member BCCI was the mentor of the KCCC.
The final match and other matches were officiated by Amit Gupta, Sadiq Hussain Malik, Saleem-Ur- Rehman, Madan Mohan, Sandeep Manchanda, Ashok and Vinod, while the proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Rajesh Dhar.
