JAMMU, July 1: Star-studded Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) and Whites Cricket Club (WCC) registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup, being played on newly laid turf at KC School ground, here.
Earlier, in the first match Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) defeated KCSC Juniors by 48 runs.
Put into bat, KCCC scored 128 runs in 16 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Suryansh Raina top scored with 42 runs, while Vimarsh Kaw and Bandeep Singh contributed 31 and 13 runs to the total respectively. From KCSC Juniors, Yudhvir Singh took 3 important wickets, while Devsats Sharma took 2 wickets and Zorwar Singh claimed 1 wicket.
While chasing the target, KCSC Juniors bundled out for paltry total of 80 runs. Ashank, Rocky and Nitin chipped in with 18, 12 and 9 runs respectively.
From KCCC, skipper Manik Gupta was the pick of the bowlers, who took 5 important wickets.
In another match played today, Whites Cricket Club defeated Striker Cricket Club by 5 wickets.
SCC won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, SCC scored a modest total of 116 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Sachin, Raja and Abhishek contributed 39, 25 and 17 runs respectively. From Whites Cricket Club, Raju took 4 wickets, while Raja bagged 3 wickets.
While chasing the target, WCC scored 118 runs in 16.5 runs and won the match by 5 wickets. Rohit and Rohit Koul were the star performers. From Strikers XI, Aman took 2 wickets.
