KCCC, CCCA smash rivals, sail to next round

JAMMU, June 24: Krishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) and Colonel Chopra Cricket Academy (CCCA) smashed rivals and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup, being played at KC Public School cricket ground.
The first match of the day was played between KC Sports Club (KCSC) and Krishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC).
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, KCSC made 137 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 over. Amrit Paul and Aatif scored 29 and 28 runs respectively.
From KCCC side, Raman scalped 3 wickets and Ankush took 2 wickets.
In reply, KCCC chased the target in 19.2 over for the loss of 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets. Bandeep Singh scored 34 runs and Vimanesh made 29 runs.
For KCSC side, Pranav took 2 wickets and Sushil claimed 1 wicket.
Bandeep Singh of KCCC was declared as man of the match.
In the second match, Colonel Chopra Cricket Academy (CCCA) registered 4 wickets win over Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence (YSCE).
YSCE won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 128 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Vivek Singh played a splendid inning of 60 runs, whereas Aashant scored 14 runs.
For CCCA side, Abhishek and Aditya Chib took 3 wickets each.
In reply, CCCA chased the target in 15.2 overs for the loss of 6 wickets and won the match by 4 wickets. Aakash smashed some crispy shots and scored 67 runs.
Aakash of CCCA was adjudged as man of the match.

The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Abhijot Singh, Honey Chib, Rajinder Singh and Bunty.
