JAMMU, Nov 26: The annual sports event KC Sportathon jointly hosted by KC Public School and KC Sports Club brought leading schools of Jammu together for various sports competitions.
The event was revived for the first time after prolonged closure of schools during the Corona epidemic. A large number of Jammu schools took part in this year’s edition from November 20 to 26 in which inter-school competitions were held in Cricket, Tennis and Badminton. The event also included the annual athletic meet of KCPS on the last day of the event to which school parents were invited.
The concluding function of KC Sportathon 2023 was held on the multi-sports ground of the school. Ravinder Raina, President of BJP (J&K UT) was chief guest on this occasion who gave away awards to winning teams in Cricket, Tennis and Badminton and outstanding athletes of KCPS in track events such as short sprints and Inter House relay races.
Ravinder Raina praised the management of the school for offering the children of Jammu & Kashmir an educational environment comparable with the best in the world and congratulated KCPS students for their achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. He underscored the importance of physical and mental health in education and urged the youth of J&K to leave no stone unturned in their mission to bring glory and honour for the nation.
