JAMMU, Nov 22: KC Public School organised ‘Transgress 2023’ — a groundbreaking, first of its kind Inter School debate based on the Asian Parliamentary debate format. The event spanning two days showcased the intellectual prowess of participating schools from Jammu.
Dr. Arvind Karwani, Joint Secretary, (Home), Union Territory of J&K, graced the opening ceremony as ghief guest, while Rakesh Kumar, Additional Secretary to the Government (Finance Department), Union Territory of J&K was chief guest on the closing ceremony.
All participating schools were engaged in a riveting battle of words to claim the coveted title. The intense finals witnessed a clash between Army Public School, Damana, and host KC Public School. After a compelling exchange of ideas, Army Public School Damana emerged victorious with KC Public School securing the Runner-Up position.
Individual excellence emerged with Sudaksh of GD Goenka School earning the Best Debater’s position and Pradnya of KC International School securing the 2nd position. The integrity of the event was ensured by a panel of adjudicators consisting of Kunwar Tej Pratap Singh, Sahabdeep Singh and Manan Bakshi. The awards presentation ceremony saw the winners receiving trophies and certificates for their outstanding achievement in the event.
‘Transgress2023’ was orchestrated by ‘KC Verbal Ninjas’ — the debating club of KC Public School, under the guidance of Saish Gunjikar, PGT (English). Anadi Saini, president of the Club, Aseemta Gupta, Event Manager, Aadhwika Gupta, Event Coordinator, Lavanya, Technical Head, and Shashank Panda and Apurvam Gupta as observers played pivotal roles in ensuring the success of the event. The event fostered a sense of camaraderie among participating delegates and reflected the spirit of healthy competition and intellectual exchange.
