JAMMU, May 4: Inter School and Zonal Level Tournaments, being organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports in different disciplines were played at different venues today
JAMMU: Inter School District Level Competition in the discipline of Swimming for under-14 and 17 boys and girls got underway at Heritage Public School.
In under-14 boys category, Ehsaas of KC Public School, Aadijeet of Heritage School and Arnav Vaid of KC Public School clinched first, second and third positions respectively in 100 meters breast stroke, where in 50 meters back stroke, Mujtabaull of KC Public School, Shivam Gupta of KC Public School and Arnav Vaid of KC Public School bagged first, second and third positions respectively, in 200 meters free style, Divyan of DPS, Vikas Koul of KC Public School and Ritvik Singh of GD Goenka secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 boys category, Abhijay of Heritage School, Karan of Heritage School and Mujtabaull of KC Public School bagged first, second and third positions respectively in 50 meters free style, whereas in 100 meters free style, Divyan Sharma of DPS, Abhijay of Heritage School and Karan of Heritage School clinched first, second and third positions respectively, in 50 meters breast stroke, Ehsaas of KC Public School, Aadijit of Heritage School and Rohit of Heritage School claimed first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 boys, Dhaira of Jodhamal Public School, Sushant of KC Public School and Sawan Vaid of KC Public School secured first, second and third positions respectively in 50 meters butterfly, in 200 meters free style, Manu Kabra of Heritage, Dhairya of Jodhamal Public School and Arnav of KC Public secured first, second and third positions respectively, in 100 meters free style, Dhairya of Jodhamal Public School and Tanmay Gupta of KC Public bagged first and second positions respectively, in 50 meters back stroke, Aamil of Heritage School and Satyam of KC International secured second and third positions respectively.
In under-14 girls, Lakshita of Jodhamal School, Navya of KC Public School and Mahika of Jodhamal School bagged first, second and third positions respectively in 50 meters breast stroke, in 100 meters free style, Suditi of DPS, Janvi Khoda of KC Public School and Aninima of KC Public School clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 girls, Savjamull of Jodhamal School, Komal of Heritage School and Vanshita of KC Public School secured first, second and third positions respectively in 200 meters free style, in 100 meters back stroke, Arya of KC Public School, Sehgan of DPS and Ananya of Jodhamal School clinched first, second and third positions respectively and in 100 meters free style, Anika of KC Public, Savjamull of Jodhamal School and Mokshi of DPS secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In under-17 Kho-Kho (boys), SOS defeated HSS Sarwal in the final by 1 points.
In under-14 Kabaddi (girls), DBN smashed MS Sarwal by 8 points in the summit clash, while in under-17 category, SOS registered win over HS Toph Sherkhania by 15 points in the final.
In under-17 Volleyball, SRML lost to SOS by 2-1 sets.
In under-17 Wrestling, Sunny Kumar of GMS BC Road, Mohammad Arief of GBHSS Hari Singh, Arundeep Singh of GHSS Muthi, Krishna Chib of GHSS Paloura, Sujal Verma of SOS Herman, Asiq Hussain of GMC Kachi Chawni, Brijesh Kumar of GHSS Nowabad and Ujjwal Khajuria of SRML HSS bagged first positions in under-42 kg, under-46 kg, under-50 kg, under-54 kg, under-59 kg, under-69 kg, under-69 and open category respectively.
AKHNOOR: Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament for under-14 and 17 girls was held here.
In under-17 Kho-Kho girls (final), GHS Kotli Tanda defeated GGHSS Akhnoor by 4-0, whereas in under-14 category, GHS Sunail beat St Francis HSS Akhnoor by 14-04.
In under-17 Kabaddi (girls), GHS Barui beat GHSS Sohal by 38-20 points, while in under-14 category, GMS Akhnoor defeated GHS Sunail by 31-28 points.
SATWARI: Inter School Competitions in the disciplines of Kabaddi and Kho-Kho for under-14 and 17 girls gets underway at Government High School, Jammu Cantt.
In under-14 Kho-Kho final, GMS Bhure Chak beat GMS Upper Gardigarh by 8-6 points
In under-17 category, GHS Satwari will take on GHS Bhour Camp in the final tomorrow. Earlier, GHSS Satwari beat GHS Raipur Satwari by 5-2 points in first semis and GHS Bhour Camp defeated GHS Sohanjana by 6-3 points in the second semifinal.
In under-14 Kabaddi, GHS Rakh Bandhu will lock horns with GHS Laxman Pura in the summit clash tomorrow. Earlier in the first semis, GHS Rakh Bandhu beat GHS Narwal Pain by 12-9 points, while GHS Laxman Pura beat GHS Sohanjana by 10-8 points in the second semifinal.
In under-17 Kabaddi, GHSS Mandal will clash with GHSS Satwari in the final tomorrow. Earlier,
GHSS Mandal beat GHS Raipur Satwari by 30-28 points in the first semis and GHSS Satwari beat GHSS Sohanjana by20-15 points in the second semifinal.
BHALWAL: Inter School Zonal Level Competition in the discipline of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball for under-14 and 17 girls got underway at GHSS Bhalwal.
In under-14 Kabaddi, GMS Raipur beat GMS Amb by 3 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Raipur defeated Bharat Shiksha Kendra Domana by 9 points.
In under-14 Volleyball, APS Domana beat BHM School Barnai by 2-0 sets, whereas in under-17 category, APS Domana defeated BHM School Barnai by 2-0 sets.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, GGMS Kote beat Anuradha School by 4-2, while in under-17 category, GHS Domana beat BHM School by 4-2.
BISHNAH: Inter School Tournament for under-14 and 17 girls commenced today.
In under-14 Kho-Kho final, GHS Chal Murar beat GHS Bhatyari by 4 points, whereas in under-17 final, GHSS Rehal defeated GHSS Bishnah by 7 points.
In under-14 Kabaddi final, GHS Chak Jarallan beat GHS Deoli by 12 points, whereas in under-17 final, GHSS Bishnah defeated GHSS Rehal by 13 points.
DANSAL: Inter School Tournament for under-14 and 17 girls commenced at Government BHS Kandoli Nagrota.
GBHS Kandoli Nagrota clinched under-17 Kabaddi and under-17 Kho Kho titles in boys section, whereas in under-14 Kho-Kho, Green Field Jhajjar Kotli crushed Sarswati Shiksha Niketan Nagrota by 11-10 points.
In under-17 Kho-Kho girls final, GHSS Dansal defeated GHSS Jhajjar Kotli by 10-07 points, whereas in under-14 final, GMS Kandoli Nagrota beat Green Field Jhajjar Kotli by 4-3 points
JIB: Inter School Tournament in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Wrestling for under-17 boys concluded at mini stadium, Udhampur.
In under-17 Volleyball, GHS Rown defeated AOC HS Udhampur by 2 straight sets, whereas in under-17 Kho-Kho, GHS Shani defeated GHS Kawa and in under-17 Kabaddi, GHS Moud crushed GHSS Jaganoo.
In Wrestling, Vinod Kumar of HS Ritti, Jasbinder of GHS Ritti, Satish Kumar of Holy Angel HS, Pranay of Holy Angel HS and Pankaj of GHS Upper Thana emerged winners in their respective weight categories.

In under-17 Volleyball (boys), GHSS Chenani emerged winner and GMS Marothi remained runner up, whereas in under-14 category, Brooklin Mission School and Sarswati Academy bagged first and second positions respectively.
In under-17 Kabaddi (boys), NPS Chenani and GHS Sewna emerged winner and runner-up respectively.
In under-17 Kho-Kho (boys), GHS Sewna and GHSS Chenani clinched winner and runner-up trophies respectively.
In under-17 Kabaddi (girls), GHS Chenani and GHSS Kud bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas in under-14 category, Evergreen School Kud and GHS Chenani bagged first and second positions respectively.
In under-17 Kho-Kho (girls), GHS Sewna and GHS Chenani bagged first and second positions respectively, whereas in under-14 category, GHS Sewna and Evergreen School Kud clinched first and second positions respectively.
In under-17 Badminton (girls), GHS Chenani emerged winner, while NPS Chenani remained runner-up, while in under-14 category, NPS Chenani and GHS Chenani bagged first and second positions respectively.
BATOTE: Zonal Level Inter School Tournament in the discipline of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball for under-14 and 17 boys and girls was held here.
In under-14 Kabaddi (boys), GMS Batote defeated GHS Dahlwas by 20-10 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHSS Batote defeated GHS Dahlwas by 17-14 points.
In under-14 Volleyball (boys), GMS Chakwa defeated GHS Dahlwas by 25-10 and 25-8, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Dahlwas defeated GHS Batote by 25-12 and 25-14.
In under-14 Kho-Kho, GHS Dahlwas defeated GHS Batote by 16-6 points, whereas in under-17 category, GHS Dahlwas defeated GHS Sanasar by 14-10 points.
