JAMMU, Dec 22: 16th annual day of KC Public School was celebrated wherein large number of parents and invited guests attended.
On the occasion, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare was the chief guest and Anil Goswami, Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, was the guest of honour.
The function started with lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and guest of honour.
Thereafter, the Principal Amarendra Mishra delivered his welcome address. It was followed by presentation of annual reports by members of the student’s council from junior and senior wings of the school for the academic year 2012-13.
The cultural show after the reports constituted of two dance dramas in Hindi and English interspersed with one choir-cum-orchestral composition on the theme of world peace and harmony and one choreographed dance movement in cotemporary style by way of invocation to Lord Hanuman.
The meritorious students of the school were given prizes and the chief guest addressed the gathering. He praised the children and their teachers for their outstanding performance in the culture show.
The guest of honour, Anil Goswami in his address laid emphasis on character building role for shaping up individuals. Raju Chowdhary, vice chairman of school management, presented vote of thanks. The function concluded with the National Anthem.
