KC Public celebrates ‘Nimble Feet Fitness Fest’

JAMMU, Nov 16: The Junior Wing of KC Public School celebrated its 4th ‘Nimble Feet Fitness Fest’ in its school premises, here today.
The programme was a culmination of many days of preparation, which began with an electric mix of joy, excitement and fervour.
Kiran Wattal, Jammu Municipal Commissioner was the chief guest in the mega event.
The programme started with a welcome speech by Headmistress, Sofia Rana, followed by an invocation to Goddess Saraswati through graceful movements of Kathak dance.
4 Houses of the School presented March Past and the pride with which each marched was a display of coordination and team spirit.
An abundance of energy was visibly manifest in all other displays comprising of aerobics, yoga, taekwondo, PT and roller skating. Each display sparkled with finesse and charm.
The sporting events began with fun races like lemon race, donning Papa’s shirt and 50 metre sprint, followed by medley relay race. Tug of war event which exhibited stamina and energy of the participating children was also held on the occasion.
The programme ended with a choreographed dance sequence.
Chief guest, Mr Wattal while distributing medals and certificates among the winners on the occasion, said that sports and games are an integral part of education, which help in developing overall personality of the students.
