KC International School celebrates Annual Sports Day

JAMMU, Dec 28: KC International School celebrated its Annual Sports Day in the School ground in a frolicsome atmosphere, here today.
Vinay Mahajan, chairman KCIS was the chief guest on the occasion, while vice chairperson, Saroj Mahajan and vice chairman, Chaitanya Chowdhary were also present on the occasion.
The event formally commenced with the March Past by all the four houses of the school namely Ruby, Topaz, Emerald and Sapphire.
The School Sports Captain, Nikhita Kapoor administered the oath to all the participants. This was followed by flag hoisting and lighting of the Victory lamp.
Principal, Maya Mishra officially declared the Sports Meet Open. Colorful balloons were released and pigeons were flown symbolizing the vibrant hopes of the students that were flying high. A welcome song and drill was presented by the children who left the spectators spell bound.
Many events occurred on the day – Flat race with balloon, hopping, tricycle, yoga, Star formation, Dumb Bell, Pack your bag, tie your lace, three legged race, stepping stone and teddy bear race was performed by the students of Pre-primary and Primary Wing.
The students from Class VI- XII participated in Wheel Barrow, 100 mtr sack race, frog jump, balance the book, 200 mtr slow cycle race, 100 mtr relay, 200 mtr, 400 mtr  & 800 mtr. They also displayed Taekwondo and aerobics. In addition to above, Matka race for teachers, tug-of-war between teachers and students and couple race for the parents were also organised.
Ruby House was declared best in Athletics and March Past, while Sapphire House was adjudged best in Activity.
