KC Gurukul students excel in sports event ‘Tirangaa’

JAMMU, Sept 11: KC Gurukul students brought laurels to School in a mega sports event ‘Tirangaa ‘which was held at Banyan International School, here. The event was conducted with the aim to acquaint the young generation with the sports legends and traditional games of our country where Stuti Dhar and Shiny Sharma stood 1st and 3rd in unscramble Competition.
In crossword puzzle Aditi and Krishna bagged 1st prize and Pratham and Drishti bagged 3rd Prize. Ayush Chatta and Agrim Singh of Class 7th stood first in the Quiz Competition. The School was at 3rd rank in Hurdle race.
The School was awarded with 2nd prize in Relay Race wherein participants were Aryan Tejasav, Aditya Sharma, Ashish Salgotra and Mandeep Manhas and 3rd Prize in Yoga Competition .
In Tug of War, School won first prize. About 18 Schools participated in these events, in which KC Gurukul claimed over all 2nd place.
Vijay Puri, the Academic Director of the School lauded the efforts of the students for this performance.
