JAMMU, Dec 18: K C Gurukul Public School, Paloura celebrated its Annual Day function with great enthusiasm at General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, here today.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat was chief guest and Chief Secretary, B R Sharma was guest of honor on the occasion.
The function began with lighting of ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries and Saraswati Vandana.
The students presented a glittering assortment of dances, songs and other theme based cultural items highlighting the patriotism, nationalism, rich heritage and nation’s diversity that left the jam packed audience spell bound. The portrayal of nature by the tiny toddlers mesmerized the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the annual day function is a joyous occasion for teachers, students and parents that provides them an opportunity to get together and see the live performance of the students in different forms. He emphasized the need for close coordination between teachers and parents for the overall development and nurturing the future of the children.
On the occasion, the Minister and Chief Secretary released the school news letter “Round Robin” and distributed prizes amongst the meritorious students who excelled in different activities.
Principal KCGPS, Banashrii Bijoli Barman presented the annual report of the school.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included, Chairman, KCGPS, Arvind Mahajan, Principals of different schools, prominent citizens, parents and others.
