JAMMU, Oct 10: To sensitize the children towards the need of the unprivileged and making them learn joy of giving, the Joy of Giving Week was celebrated in KC Public School from October 3 to October 9.
On the concluding day, a Special assembly was held in which the Headmistress, Sofia Rana gave a motivational speech wherein she told the students that Giving to Society highlights the importance of how everybody has the potential to create change in the world, in restoring harmony and bridging the gap between the ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’.
She said that KC Public School will continue to integrate this programme as part of community service and spread the joy of giving.
Clothes, toys, crayons and colours were collected by the children on the voluntary basis. The School handed over the entire collected item to the slum areas, which smacked a blissful feeling amongst all.
