Kanwal Sports scripts convincing win over Udhampur FC

JAMMU, Dec 14: Kanwal Sports Anantnag Football Club registered convincing win over Udhampur Football Club via tie breaker by four goals to three (4-3) in the ongoing  5th Christmas Soccer Championship, which is being organized by Christian Sports Organization in collaboration with J&K Football Association at Parade ground, here.
The Championship is being organized with an objective to help youth not to take drugs and live a healthy life. The slogan of the tournament is “Be Healthy–Don’t Do Drugs”.
Earlier, in the stipulated time both the teams scored 2 goals each. From KS Anantnag,  Qasim scored 1st goal in 23rd minute, while 2nd goal was scored by Adil Shafi through penalty kick in 20th minute. For Udhampur FC, Sanjay and Tushar netted the goals in 57th and 65th minutes of the match respectively.
Earlier, in the first match Kathua FC got walkover as their rival team did not turn up.
Vivek Shekhar, DySP City was the chief guest in today’s match who was introduced with the participating teams.
The match was officiated by Vijay Kumar (Ricky), Rocky and Rajinder Singh.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Shine FC will lock horns with Jammu United from Pool-A at 11.30 am.
Churchil Brothers from Pool-A at 1.00 pm and NGR FC  V/S Mussa FC  from Pool-B at 2.30 pm informed by the Organizing Secretary.
