Junior XI Kathua beats Trikuta Warriors in Elite Premier League

JAMMU, Jan 15: Junior XI Kathua defeated Trikuta Warriors with big margin of 144 runs in the ongoing under-19 Elite Premier League of 40 overs, organised by Trikuta Cricket Academy at Railway Ground, here today.
The fourth match of league was played between Junior XI Kathua and Trikuta Warriors wherein Junior Kathua XI won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Kathua XI scored 229 with the loss of all wickets in 30.1 overs. Nikhil scored 74 runs, Varun made 40 runs and Dinesh scored 21 runs. For Trikuta Warriors, Dinesh, Sourav and Harman took three wickets each.
In reply, Trikuta Warriors failed to chase the target and bundled out at just 86 runs in 19 overs and lost the match with big margin. Adhijay Mehta made unbeaten 30 runs while Rudra scored 17 runs. For Kathua XI Manit and Ritesh bagged four wickets each, whereas Dikshant took two wickets. The Man of the Match was awarded to Nikhil Sharma of Kathua-XI for his superb batting of 74 runs.
The tournament is being organized by Trikuta Cricket Academy under the overall supervision of Balbir Singh and Sukomal Ganguly in association with Elite Club. The officials of the match were Deepak Singh and Sujit Kumar.
