JAMMU, Dec 1: After the coaching camp, selection trials and screening by J&K State Sports Council, 15-member Judo team including 6 boys, 5 girls and 3 officials were selected, who will leave for Chandigarh on December 2, for participation in the Senior National Judo Championship which will be held from December 3 to December 5, 2015.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Vikas Gupta, general secretary J&K Judo Association and joint secretary Judo Federation of India, Ravi Singh, Satish Gupta, Rashid Choudhary, Suraj Bhan Singh, Varinder Dogra, Shiv Kumar, Suraj Sharma and Manish Chatwal. Thakur Rachpal Singh, president J&K Judo Association and former MLA blessed the team for their success in the championship.
The team will be accompanied by coach Vikas Dogra and Ritika Slathia and manager, Mohd Mushtaq.
The team: Aman Gupta, Junaid Maqbool, Rahil Shafi, Danish Sharma, Ranjodh Singh, Ajmal Maqbool, Ishma Wazir, Poonam Sharma, Shweta Thakur, Shivani Jamwal and Juhi Charak.
