JU team wins Gold in Roller Inline Hockey

JAMMU, Feb 24: Jammu University team secured Gold in the Roller Inline Hockey (Male) in the All India Inter-University Roller Hockey Tournament, organized by Andhra University Visakhapatnam.
Jaideep Singh of Jammu University was declared as the highest goal scorer and best goal awardee of the tournament.
Vice-Chancellor Umesh Rai honored the University team for bringing Gold in the tournament and also felicitated the Wushu team of the University for winning Gold, Silver and two Bronze medals. The medals were won by Hritik Singh Charak-Gold, Gurmeet Singh Manhas-Silver and Pratham and Rohan Singh-Bronze in Wushu.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education and its teams, which regularly bring laurels to the University of Jammu. He also acknowledged that despite limited resources, the players are giving their best in the sports.
He also announced that in the coming session, these hardships shall be addressed, as the sports policy for the players of the University of Jammu has been prepared and shall be implemented very soon.
Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar University of Jammu, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Director Sports & PE, Padam Dev Singh Hockey coach, Gagan Kumar, Ravish Vaid, Harinder Pal Singh and Tarvinder Pal Singh were present during the event.
