Youth Festival ‘Sangam-2022’

BHADERWAH, Nov 4: The five-day Youth Festival- ‘Sangam’, organised by Bhaderwah Campus in collaboration with the Indian Army, concluded with the multi dimensional cultural bonanza and distribution of prizes among the winners and participants on the final day of the mega event at Bhaderwah Campus, here today.
Prof Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor University of Jammu who was the chief guest on the occasion said that he is mesmerized to be the part of the closing ceremony of Youth Festival ‘SANGAM 2022’ and announced that state of the art Computer lab will be established with the financial assistance from College Development Council.
“The University will also support girls education in the Chenab valley for which the financial assistance and resource persons if required shall also be provided by JU’s Directorate of Distance Education,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated and acknowledged the efforts made by Rector Prof Rahul Gupta and Col. Rajat Parmar, Commanding Officer 4 Rashtryia Rifles for ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of this popular annual event.
Prominent personalities including Prof Bechan Lal, VC of Cluster University of Jammu, Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector Bhaderwah Campus, Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, Prof Rajeev Rattan, Director, College Development Council, Prof Prakash Antahal, Dean Students Welfare, Prof Vishav Raksha, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof Vinay Chauhan, Dean, Students Placement, Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director Sports and Physical Education and many others were present during the event.
The festival attracted over 1200 participants from 34 colleges from different parts of Jammu province.
The overall runners-up trophy was bagged by Govt Degree College Doda, while Jammu University lifted the coveted trophy “Sangam-2022. During the valedictory function students showcased their skills in dancing and singing.
Earlier, Col Rajat Parmar, Commanding Officer, 4 Rashtriya Rifles read the detailed report of the events held during the festival. Dr Jatinder Manhas, Dr Neeraj Sharma and Dr Ambish Malik conducted the proceedings of the valedictory function.
