JAMMU, Nov 20: Jammu University thrashed MDS Ajmer by 138 runs in All India Vice Chancellors T-20 cricket tournament 2019, organised by Shivaji University Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Batting first, Jammu University scored a big total of 224 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Deepak scored magnificent 102 runs, while Vishal contributed splendid 52 runs. Rajesh Salhotra and Shammi contributed 27 and 26 runs to the total respectively.
In reply, MDS Ajmer bundled out for a paltry total of 86 runs. Balwant was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 important wickets, while Niranjan bagged 2 wickets. Rajesh and Ilyas also claimed one wicket each.
Deepak was declared as the man of the match.
Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor Jammu university congratulated the team. Sham Lal Sharma Manager, Jarnail Singh Assistant Manager and Gurmeet Singh Mentor of the team congratulated the players for such a brilliant victory.
Pawan Singh Bhau, President JUNTEU also congratulated the team for this victory.
