JAMMU, Feb 16: Jourian Cricket Club and Dawood Cricket Club registered convincing victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Cup at KCSC ground, here.
In the first match, Jourian Cricket Club defeated Akhnoor Cricket Club in an easy contest by 41 runs.
Batting first, Jourian Cricket Club scored 135 runs in 20 overss. Vikas and Randeep contributed 31 and 25 runs to the total respectively. Rayees took 3 wickets from Akhnoor Cricket Club.
In reply, Akhnoor Cricket Club bundled out for 94 runs. Chandan and Anil scored 18 and 13 runs respectively. For Jourian, Sagar took 2 wickets.
In another match, Dawood CC defeated New Friends CC by 13 runs.
Batting first, Dawood Club scored 155 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Waseem and Zabar contributed 69 and 57 runs to the total respectively. From New Friends CC, Sahil took 3 wickets.
In reply, New Friends Cricket Club bundled out for 142 runs. From DCC, Yasir and Adir took 2 wickets each. Dawood CC won the match by 13 runs.
Waseem was declared as the man of the match.
