JAMMU, Nov 2: In the recently held India Open Competition (Air Weapons) Raveena Jangid a Class 11th student of Jodhamal Public School participated in 011 India Open competition which was organised by National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) at very famousDr. Karni Singh Shooting Range at Tughlakabad in New Delhi
Around 4000 shooters participated in the same including Olympian Anjum Moudgil. Raveen won 3 medals, Gold medal in Sub Youth Category (U16) in 10m Air Rifle Women, Gold medal in Youth category (U19) in 10m Air Rifle Women and Silver medal in Junior category (U21) in 10m Air Rifle Women.
As one of the youngest established shooter from J&K, Raveena is also giving India Team trials. She aims to represent her country internationally. Raveena trains under coaches Mr. Manoj Dalal and Ms. Sangeeta Singh at Chandro Tomar Shooting Range in Noida (UP) and Mr. Naval Kishore Tiwari atShri Mata Vaishno Devi Stadium Katra.
