Jodhamal student excelled at IIT Competition

JAMMU, Feb 11: Jodhamal Public School (JMPS), Channi Himmat student Amay Gupta secured second prize and won cash award of Rs. 12,000 at STEAM Innovation Challenge 2026, organized by IIT Jammu under Team Pragyaan.
Amay Gupta’s innovative project stood out among numerous entries for its originality, practical relevance and strong conceptual clarity.
Additionally, a team from the Junior Group also represented the school in the IIT STEM Innovation Challenge. The team comprised Rivan Gupta, Natik Kajoria, Prayang Arora, Krishan Gupta, Abhir Singh Bali and Gauransh Diwan.
The STEAM Innovation Challenge 2026 aimed to encourage young minds to apply the principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to develop innovative solutions for real-world challenges, with strong local relevance to J&K.
The school management extended heartfelt congratulations to Amay Gupta and also acknowledged the dedicated mentorship and guidance provided by the teacher Neetu Johri, whose support played a vital role in shaping the project.
