JAMMU, Jan 14: A Workshop on ‘Gender Sensitization in J&K’ was held at Jodhamal Public School for the teachers, under the aegis of CBSE.
The CBSE Resource Person, Dr Chand Trehan implored on the need to understand Gender and Decoding Basic Gender Specific Terminology.
142 teachers of Jodhamal Public School participated in this workshop and each one participated with full zeal and had taken the lessons beautifully to be implemented at the school. How to handle a gender sensitive issue was also an agenda of this unique workshop.
This workshop was the third of its kind in the entire country where appropriate teaching and learning materials and management that inducts educators imparting Gender Sensitive Pedagogy was taken up with the vision of the management.
The School Management and the Principal, Trilok Singh Bist presented the resource person with a memento as a token gratitude.
Vice Principal, Monika Sethi took the team along in the learning process and felt that working as a team and getting such exposure at Jodhamal is honing up her potential too and thanked the management for their commitment to Teacher’s Capacity Building and developing a good teacher into a quality teacher.
