JAMMU, Sept 9: Jodhamal Public School organized ‘Science Expo 2015’ as a part of “Pidilite Fevicol Science Challenge 2015”, here.
172 models were displayed by the students of classes 5th to 10th. The themes of major issues of concern such as pollution control, renewal resources of energy, Smart City, Traffic Management , use of dormant volcanoes for electricity generation etc. were impressively enlighten through innovative projects.
Dr Pankaj Srivastava, Dean of Student Welfare and an eminent educationist from Jammu University presided over and also judged the models and appreciated as well as lauded the efforts of the students and staff for such innovative ideas.
There were a total of 172 models prepared for this Science Challenge Expo and out of it there were 120 working models added the sheen to the Expo.
Model number 104 on Water Resources Management (Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting Electricity Generation made by Kanishk Abrol, Amrit Hans Raj, and Ananya Salhotra were declared winners amongst the seniors.
Model No 97 on Disaster Management – Flood Alarm, prepared by Sabha Jamwal, Ashmit  and Huzaf Ali were declared as winners amongst the juniors.
All the models were made by students from class V to class X  and management has decided to judge them class wise also and from each class the best five models will be awarded.
Gagan Arora, Area Market Development Manager, represented Pidilite Industries and applauded the innovative efforts of the School Management, teachers and students, to think out of the box and conceptually find out ways and means for safe, clean and better tomorrow.
