JAMMU, Nov 20: Jodhamal Public School, Jammu organized Student Exchange Programme to enrich and inspire the young students of Maharaja Mewar Public School, Udaipur and students of Jodhamal Public School, through exposure to each other’s culture and short-term study experiences with smart class.
Through these programmes, the participants developed a better understanding of similarities and differences between Jammu and Udaipur cultures, as well as gained exposure to new ideas through student exchanges and home stays. The students of Maharana Mewar Public were taken around the city of temples by the School representatives and the students of JMPS.
The programme included visit to Vaishno Devi Shrine, Bahu Temple, Raghunath Temple and Peer Kho Temples.
As part of the Swachh India Campaign launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the students of JMPS along with the students of Maharaja Mewar Public School had organized “Banega Swachh Jammu ” earlier.
The School also organized several in house activities such as special assemblies showcasing the rich heritage of the state through scintillating Dogri song, folk song, kathak and finally ending with a musical bon fire night where students of both the Schools found a platform to showcase their talent. The Vice Principal, Monika Sethi coordinated this Exchange Programme with the support from CCA Coordinator Nandani Bakshi, Music Teachers Deepak Kumar, Poonam Mahajan, Shruti Bakshi, Aadi Sharma and Sahil.
Principal JMPS Trilok Singh Bist lauded the efforts of the staff & students of both the Schools for this endeavour.
