JAMMU, Oct 19: Two formula-1 teams Apex Racing, Spartan Racing from Jodhamal Public School participated in the recently held Formula-1 in Schools Regional. Both the teams from Jodhamal School have now qualified for the National-F1 Championship to be held in December, 2023. The Regional Qualifiers were held at Sun City, Gurugram.
The Formula-1 in schools is an international STEM competition for school children, in which groups of 3 to 6 students have to design and manufacture a miniature car out of the official F1 Model Block.
Both teams showcased exceptional talent and skills throughout the competition. Teams from Jodhamal put forward an exceptional performance in the Regionals, wherein they excelled in several categories and received awards. Their performances were highly appreciated by the F1 officials and judges.
The team Apex Racing members are Daanial Butt, Arit Malhotra, Kunwar Ranvir Sharma, Ekaj Nargotra and Varchasav whereas team Spartan Racing included Abhiraj Suryavanshi, Madhvendra Naad, Simarpal Singh, Vanshaj Sharma, Avyukt Mahajan, and Mehraab Singh. Both teams were mentored by Neetu Johri.
After two days of model assessment across various technical domains, the Regionals ended with an award ceremony where various awards were given to different teams. Paving their way through the hurdles team Spartan Racing had the fastest car in the competition, declared as Knockout, First runner-up and received best Team award. Also team Apex Racing received best Engineered Car. Jodhamal in collaboration with time of sports has been a ‘STEM’ approved school in Jammu and Kashmir for the last 8 years.
