Jammu, Aug 20: The duo of Jammu and Kashmir’s teen tennis sensation, Prinkle Singh and Kavya Sawhney of Uttar Pradesh reached the finals of the doubles event of Adidas MCC Chennai National-17 Championship, a prestigious Indian Ranking Tournament, being played at MCC Cricket Stadium in Chennai.
In the semifinal, the pair of Prinkle and Kavya defeated the duo of Deedipya of Telangana and Parwani of Gujarat by (7-6 6-3).
Earlier, in the quarterfinal, the duo defeated the 2nd Seed of tournament Tanisha Kashyap of Assam and Shravya Shivani of Telangana (6-3 6-3).
In the pre-quarterfinal , the pair drubbed Jagmeet Kour and Kashish Bhatia of Delhi in a easy contest by (6-0 6-3).
In the singles event, Prinkle Singh lost to Aakansha Bhan of Gujarat by (6-0, 6-3) in the semifinal.
