JAMMU, Mar 29: Amid outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Jammu and Kashmir Police, social and political organizations distributed essential items among the needy persons.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Sridhar Patil along with SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma and SDM Akhnoor distributed ration and masks among labourers, who can’t afford their two times meals in this pandemic in various areas of Sub Division Akhnoor.
Meanwhile, SSP Jammu Sridhar Patil has designated Inspector Raghubir Singh as Nodal Officer for distribution of relief and other essential items among the needy persons through JKP of Jammu District.
Incharge Police Post Nehru Market SI Sunil Sharma distributed food items to about 200 peoples living in the Sunder Nagar and Rajeev Nagar Colony, Police Station Bus Stand and social workers distribute packed food Items to round about 100 standard passengers, Police Station Gandhi Nagar distribute food packets and dry ration to needy people of Nai Basti, Shastri Nagar and Digiana area, Police Station Trikuta Nagar distribute food packets to needy person staying at Shiv Mandir Trikuta Nagar, Police Post Narwal distributed food packets to needy people of Narwal and adjoining area, Police Post Bathindi distributed food packets to needy people at Bathindi area, SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Karan Chalotra distributed food items to needy people of Bakshi Nagar area, DySP Headquarters Jammu Shwetambri Sharma along with SHO Nowabad Inspector Deepak Jasrotia distributed ration to needy people at Basti adjoining Yatra Niwas, Police Station Gangyal distributed food items to needy people at Gangyal area, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul along with members of Rishi Pariwar Society Barnai distributed rice, wheat and masks to needy people at Thather and Ganga Nagar, SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Rashid, SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan along with SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma distributed food items among needy people of the area, SHO Kanachack Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and Civil Society members Rakesh Singh Bhalwal and Ankush Sharma distributed ration among needy people at Purkhoo, SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma along with SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket distributed food items among needy people at Nagrota area, SDPO East Bikram Kumar along with President Bahu Fort Development Committee and SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Sunil Sharma distributed food item and vegetables among needy people at Bagh-e-Bahu area, while Police Station Arnia under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan distributed food items among needy people at Arnia area.
SHO Udhampur Inspector Vijay Choudhary along with his team distributed ration among the poor families of the district at Jakheni, while SHO Turtuk from Nubra Valley distributed dry ration including rice, pulses and flour viz masks and soaps to non local labourers at their door step who are stuck inside during this lockdown period.
Rajouri Police has started home delivery of medicines. Any person/patient in need of medicines can contact Police Station Rajouri for home delivery of medicines by contacting on Mobile Number 70061-90520, said SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli.
SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar, SHO Mendhar Inspector Naveen Angral and their team distributed dry ration to the needy non local labourers in Sub Division Mendhar, while SHO Vijaypur Inspector Arjun Singh Chib along with his team distributed food packets at various locations where labourers and migrants in different areas in his jurisdiction.
Under ‘We Care For You’ initiative of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Bari Brahmana Police led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia provided food and ration items to the needy people.
Police team led by SHO Ramnagar Jasbinder Singh distributed ration among the needy people, while Sanjeev Sharma DGM, JK and Ladakh UT, Indian Gas Agencies and assisted by other member of Indian Gas Agencies, distributed masks and sanitizers in Panchari area.
In Mahore area of District Reasi, Police distributed eatables among the orphan children of Bal Ashram Mahore in presence of SDPO Arnas Satish Bhardwaj.
As a part of small gesture to serve the humanity in this hour of crisis due to Corona Virus, Bakshi Nagar Police led by SDPO Amit Sharma, Inspector Karan Chalotra alongwith volunteers of Team Jammu distributed dry ration to needy people.
Fulfilling social and moral responsibility amidst corona virus scare, Management of Naag Shiv Mandir, Marble Enclave Trikuta Nagar in presence of former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla, SHO Trikuta Naga, Aman Bawa, VS Kundal, Pawan Shastri, Iqbal Singh, Rajesh Vaid, Nitin Pandho, Vijay Mahajan, Sanjay Verma and Suresh Kohli distributed 500 flour bags among poor.
To contribute towards the efforts being undertaken to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the employees of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board have contributed one day’s salary for the J&K Relief Fund. Ramesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB said that the donated amount has been raised by the Shrine Board employees through contribution of their one day’s salary while the gazetted officers of the Board have contributed their two days’ salary towards the Relief Fund. He added that Board today distributed ration kits among the slum dwellers and other stranded workers at Katra.
SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid and SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan along with SHO of Police Station Bishnah Inspector Deepak Pathania during a day long programme distributed food and grocery items among the needy. Dr Karan Baghat, Er Sushant Gupta Chairman GS Sports Club and their groups of volunteers were also present on the occasion.
Chairperson Muskaan Foundation Parveen Sangral along with the members of her team distributed ration among the 50 needy people in Vijaypur area of District Samba, who were sleeping empty stomach for the past three days. Municipal Committee President Deepak Kumar was also present on the occasion.
To provide succor to the most deserving and needy people, Sridhar Patil, SSP Jammu today distributed dry ration to 200 families at Bishnah in presence of Adil Hamid, SP Headquarters Jammu, Shabir Khan, SDPO RS Pura, Raman Kumar Tehsildar Bishnah, Inspector Deepak Pathania SHO Bishnah, Councillors and respectable of the area.
Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor JMC distributed raw food supplies and milk packets to the under privileged and economic weaker section. Fodder for the cattle in cattle pound JMC will be provided by the Mahant Rajesh Bittu for which JMC will handle the transportation of fodder, Sharma informed. Rama Booth President, Pooja, Shubh Lata, Anuradha, Sunita and other prominent members of the ward were also present.
Ramnagar Unit of BJP led by Ranbir Singh Pathania, State Spokesperson, J&K BJP along with Kuldeep Singh, District General Secretary, BJP Udhampur, Sarpanch, Vice President BJYM Majalta Manoj Kumar and General Secretary BJYM Majalta Gurdev Singh distributed ration and other essential commodities to thirty stranded labourers of Khajuraho (MP). Similarly food and other essential commodities were provided to the family of Jagdish Sharma of Jansal, Majalta who is stuck up at Ahmedabad and his poor family had been brought on the brink of starvation.
Security personnel led by SI Rahul Sharma distributed masks among the needy people and the commuters at Main Chowk in District Samba.
137 Battalion of Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) provided food to the poor and needy people on National Highway at Udhampur.
Lt Colonel Gaurav Tewari, 2 IC of 43 RR of Indian Army along with his team under the aegis of Romeo Force provided ration, fresh vegetables, masks, hand gloves, liquid soap and sanitizers among 13 stranded labourers from in and around the country, who were stuck at Lower Rajdhani area of Manjakote in District Rajouri.
Rakesh Kumar Secretary District BJP Team RS Pura organized a camp and distributed ration among the needy persons at village Powal and its adjoining areas in Arnia and Bishnah Constituencies. Many prominent leaders of BJP were present on the occasion.
Neena Gupta Corporator Ward No 50 Channi Himmat, Advocate Ishant Gupta Co-Incharge IT and Social Media BJP J&K, Poonam Gupta Ward President BJP Mahilla Morcha and Abhishek Gupta with the association and contribution of DIG (Ops) North Jammu PC Jha and V2 Care HSW Foundation General Secretary Padmaja Jha has distributed dry ration packets among 150 needy and daily worker families. Neeraj Kumar SO to DIG, CRPF officers and staff and V2 Care volunteers were also present during this noble cause.
Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) distributed three hundred kits of dry ration among needy in Panjtirthi Dounthli towards Circular Road, Bawa Basti Dogra Hall and Kabir Colony Dogra Hall. The distribution of ration has been monitored by Commissioner, JMC Avny Lavasa alongwith Secretary, JMC Tinna Mahajan, Deputy Director Planning Sandeep Sharma, Chief Enforcement Officer Rajesh Gupta, Enforcement Officer Kamni Kesar, Revenue Officer Sunil Kumar and Sanitation Officer Rajinder Kumar and subordinate staff of JMC.
Gurmukh Singh Pathania, President of Digiana Unit of Pradesh Vishwakarma Shaba (PVS), J&K distributed free ration kits to the poor and needy people of Digiana area. He was facilitated by Gurmeet Singh, SHO Satwari and Shashi Verma President of the Sabha.
Chadwal Panchayat in District Kathua has started langar sewa for the labourers and their families at village Chadwal. Parshotam Sharma, Anil, Golu, Deepu, Bittu Tak, Bjola, Sindhu, Rakesh and many others were present on the occasion.
Natioal Awami United Party (NAUP) President Sandeep Singh along with his office bearers distributed 300 packed ration packets at Barnai among migrant labourers. Provincial Vice President SN Saraf, Ankur Gupta, District President Rakesh Singh, General Secretary Puneet Bhan, Working Committee members and senior leader Som Raj Rana were among others present on the occasion.
A camp was organized at Bhargav Institute at Samba for free delivery of ration and utensils to the needy people by Jai Baba Shivo Shrine Committee Goran Samba. Under the chairmanship of Tehsildar Samba Avtar Singh Jasrotia and President of the Committee Des Raj Sharma ration in the form of 800 kilograms of rice and 5 quintals of flour viz utensils for cooking were distributed to near about 300 people of needy class.
The members of The Hoping Foundation namely Vikas Sharma, Parminder Singh, Munish Gupta along with SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Inspector Sunil Sharma and Incharge Narwal Police Post Inspector Khyatimaan Khajuria distributed free ration among the poor people. Amit Malhotra, Founder, Seema Kaur Founder Director and Anil Kumar were also present.
