JKP registers victory over JCC to take on Rainawari in summit clash

JAMMU, Feb 6: In the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Tournament, sponsored by KC Hyundai, Jammu, the 2nd semi-final match was played between JKP XI and JCC at KC School cricket ground, here today.
JKP XI defeated the formidable rivals by 18 runs in a close contest.
Now, in the finals, JKP XI will lock horns with Rainawari Cricket Club, which has already sealed berth in the finals by beating New Challengers Cricket Club earlier.
Earlier, batting first, JKP XI set a target of 134 runs in 20 over. Rajesh Gill was the top scorer with 55 runs off 50 balls, studded with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes, while Raman Dutta contributed with 35 runs off 31 balls, hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes. For JCC, Paras and Vishwajeet took 2 wickets each.
In reply, JCC managed to score 116 runs in the stipulated overs, thus lost the match by 18 runs. Shubam scored 24 runs off 28 balls with the help of 2 fours, while Deepak Dogra contributed 19 runs off 19 balls, hitting one six and one four. Rajesh Gill was declared as man of the match for his brilliant knock.
