JAMMU, Jan 17: Jammu and Kashmir Police XI got the better of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Academy by four goals to three (4-3) via tie-breaker in the ongoing 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
The match was officiated by a panel of experts including Rocky Kumar, Ricky Kumar, Suresh Gupta and Dheeraj Meenia.
In tomorrow’s fixture Hero Club will lock horns with Shaheen Football Club at 1.30 pm, while J&K Police will take on J&K PDC at 3 pm.
The match was witnessed by a large number of people and prominent among them were the top office bearers and associate members of the Association including SM Gill, Ex MLC and President All J&K Christian Welfare Association; ZA Thakur, President JKFA and Treasurer AIFF; Sheikh Mehmood, District President, DFA Jammu; S Surinder Singh Bunty, Treasurer JKFA; Fayaz Ahmed Sofi, District President Srinagar; Kuldeep Singh, Vice President DFA Kathua; Busharat Ahmed, Central Executive Member; David, Yousuf Don, Varinder Gupta, Charan Dass, Featus Sotra, Nitin Singh, Harbans Lal, Vipan Verma and Ramesh Chander.
