JAMMU, Oct 30: The exciting final of the J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Volleyball Tournament took place today at the District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu, where Team Arnia emerged as champions after defeating Team Pargwal with a convincing score of 2-0.
The tournament, which began on 25th October, featured eight teams competing for the coveted trophy, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship throughout the event.
The chief guest for the final match was SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, who was joined by SP Headquarters Jammu Irshad H. Rather and IC DySP DAR Virender Gupta, along with a number of police officers and civilian supporters.
As champions, Team Arnia received a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10,000, while the runner-up, Team Pargwal, was awarded a trophy and Rs 5,000. All players from both teams were presented with certificates and volleyball uniforms, fostering a spirit of camaraderie. Referees were also acknowledged for their excellent officiating with mementos.
SSP Jammu praised the players for their dedication, resilience, and team spirit during the prize distribution ceremony.
