JAMMU, Dec 20: Defeating Pathankot XI convincingly by (3-1) goals in the Summit clash, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) XI lifted the title trophy of the 3rd Sant Gurbaksh Singh Danna Memorial Hockey Tournament, which concluded at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here today.
The Tournament was held under the aegis of Hockey J&K.
From JKP, the 1st goal was scored by Sunil Kalsotra in 7th minute, while the second goal was scored by Jaspreet Singh Jimmy in the 11th minute through penalty corner and the 3rd goal was pelted by Sunil Kalsotra in 29th minute of the match. For Pathankot, the lone goal was scored by Karanveer Singh in 19th minute.
Charan Jeet Singh Khalsa was the chief guest on the occasion, while Jarnail Singh, MD Peaks Auto and Surjeet Kour, Sr PDP leader were the guests of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Gurmeet Singh, Swaran Singh, ARTO, Neter Bhandari, Taxation Advisor, Amreek Singh and Rajinder Singh Raja.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Tejinder Singh Wazir, organizing secretary.
The matches were officiated by Charan Jeet Singh, Karan Jeet Singh, Jagjeet Singh,
Joginder Singh and Daljit Singh Bhatia.
Meanwhile, the organizers extended thanks to J&K Police Department and Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council for their cooperation and coordination during the Tournament.
