JKCA permits players to participate in 2nd leg of IPL-21

JAMMU, Aug 18: Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) granted permission to three players to participate in 2nd leg of Indian Premier League-21 being held in UAE from September 19 to October 15.
In a press release issued by the JKCA, Yudhvir Singh Charak and Rasikh Salam Dar form part of the Mumbai Indians team, while Mujtaba Yousaf will be part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
“It has been intimated that Yudhvir Singh Charak, a talented cricketer and senior player who was till recently playing for Hyderabad Cricket Association has migrated to his home Association and will now be playing for JKCA. No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the same has been received from Hyderabad Cricket Association,” said Member Administration, Brig (Retd) Anil Gupta.
Yudhvir is a playing member of the Mumbai Indians for IPL-21. He is presently practicing with the team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The efforts are also on to get back senior cricketer Ian Dev Singh back who is currently playing abroad.
Both Rasikh Salam and Mujtaba Yousaf have been called as support players by their respective teams and are also in UAE with the teams. “The players have been granted permission after due deliberations by the JKCA Sub-committee,” said Brig Anil Gupta.
The permission has been granted subject to the proviso that if any player’s service is needed by JKCA or for representing J&K team, they would be relieved from the IPL and sent to Jammu/Srinagar under the arrangements of the concerned IPL team, he said.
