JAMMU, June 26: Balkrishan, Additional Registrar, Cooperative Societies, J&K, flagged off the Jammu & Kashmir Youth Boys and Girls Kabaddi teams for the 1st Youth National Kabaddi Championship to be held in Haridwar from June 28 to July 1, 2025. The event is being organized in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council and the J&K Kabaddi Cooperative Society Ltd., Jammu.
The boys’ team includes: Ankush Chib, Aditya Thappa, Adarsh Sharma, Vansh Kumar, Yasir Bashir, Danish Aliwaza, Kashif Altaf, Kunal Banotra, Bhupindar Singh, Aryan Sharma, Hamid Javid, Shaan Karamat Aijaz, Vishal Kumar and Manik Atri. The girls’ team features: Sonakshi Khajuria, Jyoti Devi, Eva, Samiksha Anand, Sukriti Sharma, Sehrish Rashid, Naysa Singh, Sunaina Gulzar, Pari, Saniya Jan, Saika Tabasum, Abreena Jan, Subrana Qayoom and Janvi Seyal.
Ajit Singh and Mohd. Yaqoob will lead the boys’ section as coach and manager, while Nisha Rani and Archana Koushal will guide the girls’ section. Anil Gupta, President of the Association, extended best wishes and announced Rs 1 lakh cash prize and a celebratory reception in Jammu if either team secures a medal. The send-off ceremony also saw the presence of officials Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, Anil Modi, S.S. Gill and Inderjeet Sharma.
