JAMMU, Mar 25: Jammu and Kashmir State Wushu team secured 5 medals in the 16th Junior National Wushu Championship held at Kurukshetra in Haryana.
Tanshiv Raina secured silver medal in the 70kg losing to Haryana while as Ishant Singh (56kg), Naveed (75kg), Munaza Gazi (60kg), Qaraat Khan and Parkhi won bronze medals.
The Wushu Association of India will organize the National Wushu Coaching Camp for the junior players from April 15, 2018 at SAI Bhopal for the preparation of Indian Wushu team for the 9th Junior World Wushu Championship to be in held in Brazil.
The office bearers of the Wushu Association of J&K lauded the efforts of the players for this achievement and honoured them for the same in a function at Jammu today.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Vijay Saraf (President), Kuldeep Handoo (General Secretary), Kamal Kishore,Nissar Ahmed and Lalit Singh.
