JAMMU, May 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Speedball team excelled in junior National Speedball Championship, organized by Speedball Association of India at Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh.
The 30 players of State Speedball team under the banner of J&K Sports Speedball Association clinched gold medal in the event by winning 26 medals including 8 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze.
The medal winners were felicitated in a simple function held at Dogra Higher Secondary School by the chief guest, Bansi Lal Gupta.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were SP Langer, VK Sharma, R K Tickoo, Pawan Kumar Nanda, Jyoti Gupta and Sivata Sethi.
The gold medal winners included Manthan Pandoh , Rhea Tikku, Mansi Slathia, Suryansh, Pranay Gupta, Uditi Verma, Aryan Kangotra and Kiran Sharma.
The silver medals went to Rudresh Sharma, Samrat Ashok, Mradima, Neha Thakur, Aditya Singh, Ujjwal Thakur, Paramjeet Singh and Ashutosh, while the bronze medals went to Pranav, Deexit, Aarti Sharma, Ajay Singh, Shivanshu Heer, Basu Chettri, Abid Wani, Gopi and Lalit.
