JAMMU, Mar 10: J&K Veteran Athletic Association framed its new body in an Annual General Body meeting, held under the chairmanship of former president Bashir Ahmed at Conference Hall in MA Stadium, here today.
Dr Brij Baloria, Member State Sports Council observed the proceedings of the meeting.
Bashir Ahmed, Ex-Chief Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council was nominated chairman of the Association, while M S Baba was elected president of the Association. Tahir Akbar Rana and Sudash Bastra were elected vice presidents of Jammu wing, while Abdul Qayoom and Nushat Ara were elected vice presidents of Kashmir wing.
Tarsaim Lal was elected general secretary of the Association, while Govind Sireen will be the treasurer.
Sheikh Tulal and Jasvir Singh were elected joint secretaries of Kashmir and Jammu wing respectively, while Mohinder Singh Jamwal was elected organizing secretary of the Association.
