JAMMU, June 26: J&K’s Senior Wushu team remained overall 3rd in the 5th Federation Wushu Cup held at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar in Punjab.
12-member J&K team fetched 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in the Championship. Punjab and Haryana shared 1st and 2nd place in the Championship.
Karan Sumbria and Riya Chib secured Gold medals while as Haqeek Ahmed and Abhishek Singh Jamwal bagged silver medals and Jabeena Akhter, Appu Jamwal and Mukul won Bronze Medals in the Championships.
The office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K namely S. Owais, H K Lohia, Vijay Saraf, Ranjeet Kalra, Deepak Handa, Sunil Sharma and Sohit Sharma lauded the efforts of the players for this achievement.
